This site is a tribute to Margaret Burgess, who was born in Dunfermline on 7 June 1931. She also lived in Perth as a young child and then her family moved to England - first to Leeds and then a final move for her further south to Guildford where she settled. There is so much to say about Margaret - wife to Ron for over 40 years till he passed 20 year ago, mother, grandmother and latterly great grandmother, college lecturer and examiner, theatre critic and performer, prolific reader and walker and player of golf and bridge and much more besides. She joined organisations around all her interests, was a Mayoress, a Methodist member and a leader of holidays, usually with a walking theme. She was known to so many and so active for all of her life. And she was so much fun. She was loved greatly and has been missed dearly since her passing peacefully on 8 October 2022 in her home, surrounded by family. But with so many memories and so much joy, we are really just grateful for her wonderful life!
In memory of dear Margaret, who had a warm and lively personality and who made a great contribution to the community in many ways over the years.
Always a pleasure to be in Margaret's company - a lively family member known and loved for over 60 years. Now together with Ron
We'll remember a funny witty loving friend for ever. Now joined with Ron another good friend
